Overview

Job Summary:

 

Opportunity for an Associate Counsel to join a collegial in-house legal department.  Primary focus will be working with to prepare employment agreements and successfully manage those agreements through to implementation.  Additional duties will include reviewing and drafting a variety of other types of agreements and assisting with the development and maintenance of the company’s contract management system.

Responsibilities/ Tasks:

  • Draft employment agreements and amendments
  • Help individualize and distribute in-service training modules and compliance materials
  • Monitor and maintain a summary of ongoing litigation
  • Draft and maintain summaries of Master Agreements between affiliated entities and hospitals nationwide
  • Assist with the development and implementation of a document management system
  • Clarify terms with client groups (Recruiting, Operations)
  • Coordinate with Payroll, HR, Credentialing, and other support groups as needed

Monitor and enforce internal policies and procedures

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 2 + years’ experience as an Attorney or Contract Specialist
  • Prior experience with high volume contract drafting and management
  • Experience in a corporate legal department strongly preferred
