Somnia is a 25-year tenured national anesthesia company that provides anesthesia services to facilities across the United States. About a year ago, we created a new Acute Pain Services Department overseen by a fellowship-trained anesthesiologist. Since then, there has been steady and consistent growth. In light of this, we are looking for an early-career administrator to work closely with the service line director.

This position would be perfect for someone who has experience in, or desire to learn, health care business administration-- has tenacious penchants to learn and a meticulous tireless approach to work.  

Remote / Metro LA area in CA preferred.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Oversee the day-to-day administration of the acute pain service which includes operational, financial, marketing, quality, compliance and human resources functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Schedule management (for Service Line Director, not patient scheduling)
2. Communication management
3. Meeting management
4. Coordination and/or completion of tasks consequential to 2 and 3
5. Travel management
6. Logistics management for workshops (set-up, breakdown, attendee navigation, food/beverage, etc.)
7. Assist with P4P audits
8. Assist with Compliance Audits
9. Assist with site-by-site reconciliations
   1. Each pain encounter being documented via 1 (record),2 (ultrasound) or 3 (follow-up note) documents for every documented pain encounter, including a QA form.
   2. Reconciliation of 9.a. with MedAc
   3. Hunt down and reconcile and oversee remediation of a and b
10. Coordinate and manage assembly of records and data to support P4P program
11. Acute pain website management, and develops Litmos software competency
12. Support education and research efforts, when appropriate
13. Support CME activity

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2-5 years’ equivalent experience
• Follow up initiatives crucial
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proficiency: Microsoft Word (Intermediate/Advanced), Outlook (Intermediate), Zoom (Intermediate), Excel (Intermediate/Advanced), PPT (Intermediate/Advanced)
• Availability: Standard work schedule with night and/or weekend as needed
• Location: Flexible, prefer greater metropolitan Los Angeles area
• Travel: Variable, likely once per month, prefer flexible schedule, assist with event/CME planning
