Great Work/Life Balance Opportunity! 650k! Work a total of 39 weeks annually/ 13 weeks PTO/UTO! 1 weeknight call a week, 1 weekend a month – working an average of only 14 of 30 days a month with Post call off! Hybrid supervision/CRNA independent model, no OB!

Affiliated with both the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Central Michigan University, St. Mary’s delivers advanced surgical care for serious and life-threatening injuries and illnesses. A destination for specialty care, the hospital also provides a wide range of minimally invasive surgical procedures using robotic-assisted technology, imaging and lab tests, respiratory therapy, and dedicated rehabilitation centers, all on a single campus. The Anesthesia Medical Director is an integral role designed for supporting and facilitating a team that will deliver superior clinical care at the hospital. The position supports daily staffing assignments, management of the schedule for all anesthetizing locations. This key role is responsible for the development and implementation of the Anesthesia Department policies and procedures, serves on committees as a representative of the anesthesia department.

 

Responsibilities of the Anesthesiologist

  • Level 2 Trauma Center
  • 268 beds
  • Case Mix – General, Neuro, Cardiac, Ortho, GI, Endo
  • 6 ORs + 5 out-of-OR locations (GI, Cath, IR)
  • Schedule consists of 12s, 11s, 10s
  • Annual Cases – 9,400
  • 4 anesthesiologists sharing hospital call rotation – it is anticipated that each anesthesiologist would take one full weekend of call each month, plus 4-5 additional weeknight calls, roughly 1 per week
  • Call in house
  • Post call off

  • Active state license
  • Board certified
  • ALS/BLS Certifications
