The Anesthesia Medical Director is an integral role designed for supporting and facilitating a team that will deliver superior clinical care at the hospital. The position supports daily staffing assignments, management of the schedule for all anesthetizing locations. This key role is responsible for the development and implementation of the Anesthesia Department policies and procedures, serves on committees as a representative of the anesthesia department.

Responsibilities of the Anesthesiologist

• Level 2 Trauma Center
• 268 beds
• Case Mix – General, Neuro, Cardiac, Ortho, GI, Endo
• 6 ORs + 5 out-of-OR locations (GI, Cath, IR)
• Schedule consists of 12s, 11s, 10s
• Annual Cases – 9,400
• 4 anesthesiologists sharing hospital call rotation – it is anticipated that each anesthesiologist would take one full weekend of call each month, plus 4-5 additional weeknight calls, roughly 1 per week
• Call in house
• Post call off

• Active state license
• Board certified
• ALS/BLS Certifications
