Program Coordinator Overview

The Program Coordinator is a key leader in the Somnia Nurse Anesthesia Program (SNAP*), responsible for coordinating learner onboarding, didactic support, admissions, clinical operations, and marketing with the collaboration of SNAP leadership. This role ensures a seamless experience for learners and faculty while maintaining compliance with programmatic and accreditation requirements. The Program Coordinator also assists the Nurse Anesthesia Program Director (NAPD) and the Nurse Anesthesia Assistant Program Directors (NAAPD) in the daily functions of the program. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of SNAP and Nurse Anesthesia Program Director (NAPD). The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

 

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and enhance the operations of a premier Nurse Anesthesia Program, ensuring the success of both students and faculty while directly supporting and reporting to the Nurse Anesthesia Program Director (NAPD).

 

*Ursuline College with SNAP is a full-time 36-month format that prepares the baccalaureate-educated nurse to become a doctorally-prepared nurse anesthesiologist.

Responsibilities

Program Coordinator Responsibilities 

Key Responsibilities:

I.  Program Onboarding

  •  Coordinate and oversee cohort orientation and onboarding
  • Compile and submit required data for platforms such as NBCRNA, APEX, and Typhon.

II.  Didactics

  • Confirm guest lecturers and distribute necessary meeting
  • Manage guest lecturer documentation, including certifications and compliance
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions for APEX, Anesoft, and Typhon, ensuring accurate billing processes.
  • Develop, distribute, and evaluate Typhon evaluation

III.  Marketing

  • Represent the program at marketing events, conferences, and recruitment
  • Participate in development and distribution of marketing materials through various formats and platforms.

IV.  Admissions

  • Organize and schedule information
  • Verify applicant credentials, including licensure, certifications, background checks, drug screenings, references, and observation experiences.
  • Prepare interview materials, such as rubrics, CVs, essays, letters of explanation, and reference documents.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews for interview panel and
  • Address prospective student
  • Maintain applicant data in the Slate

V.  Clinical Operations

  •  Collect and verify student documentation, such as licensure, background checks, and ACLS/PALS certifications, using Typhon.
  • Update Typhon with current clinical site
  • Oversee and manage the clinical site onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and facilitating requirements through third-party platforms when Coordinate clinical schedules and rotations in collaboration with the Nurse Anesthesia Associate Assistant Program Directors (NAAPD).
  • Input clinical schedules in Typhon
  • Manage and oversee student electronic clinical evaluations (daily, rotational, and site evaluations) in partnership with the NAAPD.

VI.  Program Support

  • Assist the Nurse Anesthesia Program Director (NAPD) and the Nurse Anesthesia Assistant Program Directors (NAAPD) with daily program functions, including operational and administrative tasks.
  • Works in collaboration with the EA of SNAP with program and clinical onboarding. 

Qualifications

Program Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus in education, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management
  • Proficiency in data management platforms such as Typhon, APEX, and Slate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments, institutions, and clinical facilities.
  • Recommended knowledge of academic program administration, clinical education processes, and accreditation requirements. 

Salary: $70,000
