St. Joseph’s Medical Center – Critical Care Anesthesiologist
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible critical care anesthesiologist to join our dynamic team. In this full-time position, you will be providing 12 weeks of critical care medicine and 30 weeks of general anesthesia coverage. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled, collaborative, and adaptable physician who thrives in high-pressure environments and is committed to delivering exceptional care to critically ill patients. Must be an anesthesiologist with fellowship training and be board eligible or board certified in critical care medicine. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a high-acuity practice in a supportive and innovative teaching environment. You will be working with and instructing fellows, residents, and other learners in and out of the clinical environment.

Practice Environment:
Critical Care Medicine Team provides coverage for 4 ICUs (SICU, MICU, RICU, CCU) with a total of 40 ICU beds – Coverage is divided between ICU teams.

Hospital Profile: St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, CA is a 355-bed hospital and part of the CommonSpirit Hospital System. St. Joseph’s is the largest hospital in San Joaquin County and is considered the 10th busiest cardiothoracic department in California. The SJMC Anesthesia Residency program of 24 total resident physicians. The Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program consists of 6 fellow physicians. Location Highlights: St. Joseph’s is centrally and conveniently located only 50 minutes from Sacramento, only 90 minutes from San Francisco and Yosemite National Park, and only a few hours away from Lake Tahoe. The St. Joseph's Medical staff tend to reside in the nearby communities of Stockton (Brookside) and the surrounding communities of Lodi, Elk Grove, Manteca, and Tracy. |
