Somnia Anesthesia is seeking per diem CRNAs for St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY. The Opportunity The hospital is a member of the St. Barnabas Health Care Network, a community- based system serving the Bronx and surrounding neighborhoods. The hospital’s eight state-of-the-art operating suites provide care for more than 11,000 general, urological, gynecological, vascular, pediatric,and neurosurgical patients. St. Barnabas also has two endoscopy rooms, with case volume of 3,500 procedures a year. Pediatric cases range from routine, such as tubes and tonsils (ENT), to complex traumas. Cardiac surgery is not offered at the hospital. A high-risk obstetrical service manages more than 2,500 live births each year, 60% of them with epidurals. The hospital also has state- designated centers for stroke and AIDS care. Currently we have needs for the following dates -    July 2nd July 5-11 August 2-6 August 8-15 The Opportunity Our team is comprised of 3 MDs and 3 CRNAs. CRNAs will be medically directed by MDs in a variety of specialties, including all B & B cases, such as general, pediatrics, ortho, OB (no high risk), GI, GU, ophthalmology. No Cardiac, No Thoracic, No Trauma, No Neuro anesthesia. The anesthesia team will be responsible for covering 3 ORs, with an annual surgical case volume of 3,000, 800 endoscopy procedures, and 300 births in the labor and delivery suite. Grayling is a small, friendly community and hospital. We are looking for CRNAs who have experience in a Care Team setting. Someone who is comfortable and confident in their skills. Good people skills are essential. We expect the highest levels of quality and service.
