Somnia, a national anesthesia practice management organization is currently seeking to hire a per diem anesthesiologist for a prestigious plastic surgery. Case mix includes: deep plane face lifts, blephs, periocular laser treatments, rhytidectomies, breast implants, liposuctions with occasional pediatric cases. There are typically 1-2 cases per day and some days can be as long as 11 hours.

Practice Overview:
Somnia Anesthesia, in collaboration with Munson Healthcare Grayling hospital seek to identify the ideal Anesthesiology candidate for a full-time permanent position starting mid-May or summer 2023. This is a true life-style practice opportunity. Munson Healthcare is Northern Michigan’s largest and leading health system. The qualified Anesthesiologist will be proficient in blocks and work with an established group of CRNAs (Supervision with a care team practice model). As a positive indicator, this cohesive group has achieved remarkably high retention and stability.
This full-time practice, requires a total of 26-weeks per year, working 1 week on and 1 week off. Rotation of work weeks with the second Anesthesiologist who acts as the Chief for the group. The care team model is comprised of 2 MD/4 CRNAs working FT plus additional per diem staff members. Physicians take non-in-house call during the 7-day Monday-Sunday rotation, leaving the following week completely off. Call-back frequency is relatively low, mostly involve labor epidurals which do not require physician to stay in-house. During weekdays, tenured CRNAs run 3 general ORs and 1 endo room scheduled from 7 AM to 5 PM.
