Administrative support to Medical Director and Practice Administrator · Appointment scheduling · Type agendas and meeting minutes · Attend hospital meetings as department representative as needed d. Location:           Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital in Grayling, MI   Practice Overview: Somnia Anesthesia in collaboration with Munson Healthcare Grayling hospital seek to appoint the next department Chief of Anesthesia to start late summer 2023. This is a true life-style practice opportunity. Munson Healthcare is Northern Michigan’s largest and leading health system. The qualified Anesthesiologist will lead an established group of Anesthesiologists and CRNAs. (Supervision with a care team practice model). As a positive indicator, this cohesive group has achieved remarkably high retention and stability. The selected candidate will take on the successful legacy of the current Chief who plans to retire summer 2023.   This full-time practice, requires a total of 26-weeks per year, working 1 week on and 1 week off in rotating weeks with another full-time Anesthesiologists. The care team model is comprised of 2 MD/4 CRNAs working FT plus additional Per Diem staff members. Physicians take non-in-house calls during the 7-day Monday-Sunday rotation, leaving the following week completely off. Call-back frequency is relatively low, mostly involving labor epidurals which do not require physician to stay in-house. During weekdays, tenured CRNAs staff 3 general ORs and 1 endo room scheduled from 7 AM to 5 PM.CRNAs are medically directed by MDs in a variety of specialties, including general anesthesia, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedics, (including blocks), urology, and ophthalmology.   Chief of Anesthesia: As described by the current Chief, one of the most gratifying aspects of this role is the remarkable relationships with interdepartmental clinical teams and the hospitals’ leadership support. Involvement as a valued member of the medical community extends the option to serve on various clinical board positions such as Compliance, Community Outreach, Chief of Staff, Chief of Surgery. This unique professional relationship makes for a rewarding facet as an involved and integral member of the community. The Chief of Anesthesia should reside in the community and is required to have strong clinical, leadership, communication skills with a commitment to the Anesthesia care team model and the desire to invest long-term in a well-established, highly regarded organization. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports both internal and external strategic, tactical and operational projects across the Somnia network to by providing effective planning, coordination, implementation, maintenance and management of projects and programs to project stakeholders. The APM is accountable and responsible for “order fulfillment” to project stakeholders: clients, clinicians, and Somnia departments. This position acts as a central contact for information on Somnia projects and manages activities to develop and standardize programs and procedures across all Somnia departments. The Assistant PM is able to support administratively the projects within the department as well as lead in the absence and unavailability of the department director or project lead when needed. This position also provides the opportunity to function as project lead when appropriate. The APM works closely with the Director of Project Management & team to create the development strategy, establish objectives, monitor team progress make recommendations regarding project objectives, resource requirements, and strategic direction to management as needed.   POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   · New Anesthesia Practice Implementations: o Develop and maintain working relationships, both internally and externally with internal/external clients to foster positive interactions and support achieving desired project outcomes. o Travel to clients as necessary for account start-ups, prepare needs assessment plans, transition reports, and to be available during the transition as needed to ensure smooth transitions between project phases from initiation through hand-off to permanent account manager. o Within an account start-up transition provide support for the following by coordination with Somnia C-Suite and related departments: o Completion of legal and entity related, contracts, medical license applications, etc. o Manage and track program progress on a continual basis, identifying and tracking both project and inter-departmental functional issues, scope issues at project and program level, timeline issues, and budget issues. o Oversee facility staffing, orientations, logistics, quality and compliance issues. o Ensure timely, accurate and comprehensive project and program information is available to C-Suite and Senior Management and the wider Somnia organization. o Support creation of key PM reports, such as status reports for each project, weekly updates, project plans and post-project analysis. · Internal Projects and Programs o Support the development, research, or writing of academic /peer reviewed journal articles and presentations as needed, at times in cooperation with the Marketing department, as needed. o Provide support for new program, strategic projects, and service line development related activities for any Somnia departments requiring project management leadership. o Assist in the support, research and development of policies, procedures, systems, processes and programs. o Assist Director of Project Management with projects as assigned. · Additional Responsibilities o Support creation and distribution of Project Management and Education Department materials o Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) administration and reporting. o Provide support to Education programs including but not limited to communications, meeting planning, and other educational activities. Position Summary The Clinical Operations Diplomat, CRNA will work in conjunction with the following team members:  Chief Operations Officer, Chief Medical Officer, VP Clinical Operations, Regional Medical Directors, Regional Practice Administrator, Director of Quality, and local leadership (Facility Medical Director and/or Chief CRNA, On-site Administrator) to provide facility management and clinical services for Somnia, Inc. and affiliates anesthesia facility contracts. Purpose Responsible for the delivery of clinical services to assigned contracts as well as leadership and technical clinical training services.  Position Description Under direction of the COO, the Clinical Operations Diplomat assumes leadership and clinical responsibility for the CRNA care team operations at accounts throughout our national client base. Serves as onsite clinical member participating in call, enhanced clinical training and daily clinical operations. The Clinical Operations Diplomat’s will be involved in scheduling, daily staffing, and flexing staffing to match OR volume. Assisting with care team development, recruitment and supporting the Clinical Operations team goals and objectives. This position collaborates with, and evaluates all assigned shift Associates according to hospital, anesthesia and unit philosophy and objectives. Utilizes and acquires knowledge of current and best practices in the specified clinical and management areas of anesthesia practice. This position is essential as it also provides ongoing clinical support to facilities that are starting up or in need of clinical staff or leadership.  Responsibilities/Tasks - Provide clinical anesthesia in facilities requiring additional staff to meet contracted points-of-service. It is expected this position will provide clinical services on average of five (5) days per week.
