The Chief CRNA serves as the primary resource, point person and advocates for Departmental CRNAs. Responsible for the implementation of all administrative, personnel, and clinical functions pertaining to the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists. Sets forth and assures compliance with policies relating to CRNA Employee Handbook and the Department of Anesthesiology Policy and Procedure manual. Coordinates in-services, allocates and assigns duties to staff CRNAs. Affirmatively works with Somnia, MDA, CRNA’s to evolve the culture to one that embraces safety, respect, collaboration, and emotional maturity. Somnia, a national anesthesia practice management organization is currently seeking to hire a per diem anesthesiologist for a prestigious plastic surgery. Case mix includes: deep plane face lifts, blephs, periocular laser treatments, rhytidectomies, breast implants, liposuctions with occasional pediatric cases. There are typically 1-2 cases per day and some days can be as long as 11 hours.
Our ideal candidate is flexible as the client typically runs 4 days per week with the option to book 5 days when case volume permits.

The primary function of this position is to direct and provide oversight of Somnia’s Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Program. The individual will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing a compliance and regulatory affairs program for Somnia and its affiliated entities, which includes the development and implementation of policies and procedures, educational programs, and continuous internal reviews / audits to determine the effectiveness of the programs.
Responsibilities of the Director of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:
- Review and develop written policies, procedures and guidelines designed to address regulatory processes and compliance with laws and regulations and related compliance functions.
- Provide oversight of reimbursement auditing, Medicare conditions of participation, licensure, compliance hotline and investigations, Anti-kickback and Stark Law, conflicts of interests, and privacy.
- Develop training programs related to regulatory risk areas to educate employees in policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements relevant to the organization.
- Lead annual risk assessments to identify regulatory vulnerabilities and risks and prioritize risks to develop and oversee compliance plan.
- Lead regulatory audits and develop remediation plans for addressing deficiencies as needed and oversee implementation of corrective actions.
- Create and monitor key metrics to monitor and assess effectiveness of key compliance activities and implement departmental process improvements.

Great Work/Life Balance Opportunity! 600k! Work a total of 39 weeks annually/ 13 weeks PTO/UTO! 1 weeknight call a week, 1 weekend a month – working an average of only 14 of 30 days a month with Post call off! Hybrid supervision/CRNA independent model, no OB!

Responsibilities of the Anesthesiologist
- Level 2 Trauma Center
- 268 beds
- Case Mix – General, Neuro, Cardiac, Ortho, GI, Endo
- 6 ORs + 5 out-of-OR locations (GI, Cath, IR)
- Schedule consists of 12s, 11s, 10s
- Annual Cases – 9,400
- 4 anesthesiologists sharing hospital call rotation – it is anticipated that each anesthesiologist would take one full weekend of call each month, plus 4-5 additional weeknight calls, roughly 1 per week
